COTABATO CITY-The Ministry of Trade, Investments and Tourism held various entrepreneurship skills training for micro,small and medium enterprises (MSMEs) in the Bangsamoro region on August 18-20, 2021 at D&M Resto in this city.
The said activity is still in line with the MSME Celebration with the theme “Bangsamoro MSMEs: Go! Grow! Glow! For Resiliency, Development and Sustainability.”
The skills training that were conducted by the Ministry were Halal Accreditation; Food Safety; FDA Philippines License to Operate Certification; Good Manufacturing Practice (GMP); Halal Relevance and Halal Certification; Financial Literacy; and Digital Literacy Skills Training.
During the opening program, Bureau of Trade and Industry (BTI) Director Hussein B. Biruar encouraged the MSMEs to participate in the training for them to widen their knowledge and the skills that they can apply in operating their businesses.
“This training will help you to know the ways of doing business, to take advantage of the digital technology and utilize the digital market,” Biruar said.
Meanwhile, MSMEs expressed their gratitude to MTIT for the three-day seminar stating that they gained a lot benefits for their business such as awareness on food safety, halal accreditation, and guide to process documentary requirements of the license for business.
The training ended with a basic entrepreneurial skill, wherein the MSMEs acted as business investors to the activity facilitated by Ms. Catalina I. Icalina, a business counselor from the ministry.
She also provided the significant tips and advices on the proper spending of money in a business.
