In pursuit of public service excellence, the Ministry of Trade, Investments and Tourism (MTIT), in partnership with the Civil Service Commission (CSC)-BARMM, conducted a 2-day Seminar-Workshop on Basic Customer Service Skills (BCSS) for the thirty (30) employees who are in frontline service of MTIT on September 2-3 2021 at Precious Cabana Ynna Beach Resort, D.O.S., Maguindanao.
During the training, the participants were acquainted with concepts of “Public Service Excellence”. They were taught to understand the customers and theirselves to create a service excellence environment. They were also trained on how to handle Complaints and Difficult Customers and create customer-friendly practices.
It can be recalled that the first batch of the selected employees undergone the same training on August 18-19, 2021. At the end of the training, participants are expected to realize the importance of a customer-oriented service culture; feel enthusiastic about applying their acquired skills in handling customers; and commit themselves to the development of a customer-oriented service culture in the ministry.
The said 2-day seminar-workshop was facilitated by Ian Philip P. Zurita, Senior HRS, HRD of the CSC-BARMM. The resource speakers were Rhodora T. Caliso, Chief HRS, HRD and Ana Marie B. Araral, Senior HRS, LSD who are also from the CSC-BARMM.
