As part of the Micro, Small and Medium Enterprise (MSME) Month Celebration this year, the Bureau of Trade and Industry (BTI) of Ministry of Trade, Investments and Tourism – BARMM (MTIT) conducted series of capacity development activities on July 19-20, 2022 at Alnor Hotel and Convention Center, Cotabato City.
On July 19, the Enterprise and Trade Development (ETD) Division organized and facilitated a Seminar on Packaging and Labelling cum Product Assessment and Consultation with Mr. Lourd Jim Diazon, a professional graphic artist as resource person.
After his lecture on the Do’s and Don’ts of packaging and labelling, he conducted a one-on-one consultation with each participant to assess their existing product package and label. Each MSME will receive a design in which the layout fee will be subsidized by the Ministry.
On July 20, a Digital Literacy Skills Training with emphasis on Cashless Transaction and Social Media Marketing were given by the invited resource person.
Ms. Janice Fay R. Sevilla, a Social Media Marketing Expert from The Asia Foundation (TAF), discussed topics such as Cashless Transaction, Social Media Profile Optimization, Social Media Boosting, Posting Mechanism and Advertising.
The 2-day capacity development activity aims to promote entrepreneurship to inspire more local entrepreneurs to strive for continued growth and develop the capability and productivity of MSMEs.
Said activities were participated by selected Food Processors and Catering Services in Cotabato City.
